SCOPE OF DISTANCE – ANETT BILICZKI

27.11.2021-24.04.2022

A Study exhibition with works by Anett Biliczki

In this exhibition Anett Biliczki (b. 1987, Hungary) addresses the sense of belonging and the reminiscence of places and memories.

Her objects incapsulate memories from places, where she has lived – Hungary, Bornholm – Denmark and Germany – where she collected visual inspiration from the surroundings. She focuses on natural phenomenas such as erosion. evaporation, and sediments. These observations have a direct impact on the visual language of her works, and also on her working methods.

She combines glass with various materials – plaster, acrylic plaset to achieve the desired expressions and challoenge the viewer’s perception of glass.

Scope of Distance, which presents process-based glass work, forms one of the museum’s Study exhibitions. The Study is an exhibition concept designed to give glass artists the opportunity to show projects of an experimental and innovative nature.

Anett Biliczki was born in Hungary in 1987. She moved to Denmark to study Danish design traditions after graduating with a BA in glass design from MOME – Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest (2008-2011). In 2017 she graduated from The Royal danish Academy of Art, The School of Design on Bornholm specializing in glass (2013-2017). Since 2018, she has been a member of Luftkraft Glasstudie in Copenhagen.

The exhibition has kindly been supported by:
