The museum is open throughout the year with the following opening hours:
April – October: 10am-5pm, daily*
July – August: 10am-6pm, daily
November – March: 10am-4pm, Wednesday-Sunday*
*Please note that the museum is open every day in the winter half-term break (13/2 – 19/2), during the Easter holiday and all other bank holidays. Open every day during Easter 10am-5pm
The museum is closed on 24th, 25th, 31st December and 1st January.
The Glass Studio may be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays outside school holidays. If you would specifically like to see the Glass Studio, please contact the museum to check opening hours.

A season ticket is valid for 12 months and can be purchased at any time during the year. The annual season ticket provides 20 % discount on admission to The Frigate Jylland (closed in January), Ree Park Safari (closed during the winter period), Kattegatcentret in 2016 and admission at a group price at The Danish Agricultural Museum and The Manor Museum, Gl. Estrup.
The museum consists of three buildings: The new wing with a reception area, a café and exhibition spaces on the ground and 1st floor; the old building with a shop and exhibition spaces on the ground and 1st floor and The World of glass on 2nd floor. A hot glass studio in the museum’s garden. On average, guests usually spend 1,5-3 hours when visiting the museum.

GUIDED TOURS AND SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS
Guided tours of the museum can be conducted in Danish, English or German. This service is also available after opening hours at an additional cost. All guided tours must be booked at least one week in advance by phoning the museum during office hours on Monday to Friday between 08.30 and 16.00.

Facilities for disabled visitors
The museum can be accessed by wheelchair. There is a ramp leading up to the entrance of the museum and a lift to the museum’s garden and the glass studio.
In both the new wing and the old building there are lifts taking visitors to the 1st floor. The museum has one complimentary wheelchair. If you would like to make use of this during your visit to the museum, please contact the staff at the reception desk.
There is a disabled toilet in the new wing.

Baby changing facililties are available in the new wing.
Visitors are welcome to bring their own packed lunch or picnic. This can be consumed at the tables and benches located in the far corner of the museum’s garden during the summer period.
During the winter period, packed lunches can be consumed in the library, but this must be arranged with museum staff prior to your visit. Please contact Pia Strandbygaard Bittner to make arrangements.
Coats hung in the cloakroom area are left there at your own risk.
Dogs and other pets are not permitted in the museum.
